Rippling Effect was conceived in Columbus, Ohio while Darrah Courter was an Employee Benefits Broker.  She was responsible for building her own book of business with a very limited marketing budget in a very competitive and regulated industry.  To makes things more interesting – she began building her book of business in 2007 when the recession was growing in Ohio.

She found that employers were nervous about the economy and were not open to meeting new people.  How could she open the doors to grow her book of business?  With a combination of face to face networking and social media marketing/leveraging she was able to grow her business 166% in 2009.  At the same time, she was educating her clients & contacts to become more successful by using the techniques she had honed.

You’ll also find that Darrah is active in the Columbus community.  In her down time, you can find her playing co-ed softball, sand volleyball or volunteering in various aspects including: Dublin Irish Festival, Taste of Powell, Memorial Tournament or Meals on Wheels.  She was even chosen as the 2010 Greater Powell Area Chamber Business Person of the Year!
